Two of the many highlights on this tour is exploring the fascinating minority villages in North-East of Cambodia, renowned for its unique natural beauty and the picturesque volcanic lake of Yeak Laom surrounded by pristine rainforest. Take a boat trip to see the rare Irrawady freshwater dolphins in Kratie. This amazing experience continues to Siem Reap, the gateway to the Angkor Archaeological Park which is home to the magnificent Khmer temple ruins of Angkor, including Angkor Wat and many other ancient ruins.

Program Detail:
Day 1: Arrival - Phnom Penh
Arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport and welcomed by our local guide and then transfer to the hotel for check in. Start city tour for visiting of Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda. In the afternoon, we start visit Toul Sleng Museum, the S21 prison. After that continue to visit National Museum, a French archaeologist and painter. Visit as well the Wat Phnom Temple, After that, relaxing with sunset cruise on the Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Phnom Penh - Ta Keo - Tonle Bati - Phnom Chiso (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, we just leave from Phnom Penh and drive to Tonle Bati for visit to the two Angkorian era temple on the way. There are Ta Prum temple, Yeay Peau temple as both temples were built under Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century. In the afternoon, visit Phnom Chiso (Chiso Mountain) at the top of Phnom Chiso see some very nicely preserved 10th-11th century AD Angkorian era ruins. Transfer to hotel for check in and Overnight stay at hotel in Takeo .

Day 3: Ta Keo - Phnom Da - Phnom Penh (B)
Breakfast at the local restaurant. Today, we take boat trip by speed boat to Angkor Borei and visit Phnom Da temple. Well known as Phou norn, the first city of Khmer empire. Drive back to Phnom Penh. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4: Phnom Penh - Kratie (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Today we depart to Kratie and stop in Chhup, the biggest rubber plantation in country, established during the French colonial time by the French tire maker Michelin. Arrive in Kratie transfer to check in at hotel. In the afternoon, continue to visit dolphins of Mekong River. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 5: Kratie - Stung Treng (B)
Breakfast at a local restaurant. North of Kratie, visit Wat Phnom Sambok to see the Buddhist monasteries and to enjoy the magnificent views of the surrounding countryside from the hilltop. Continue to Sambor district (45 km from Kratie) to visit the "Hundred Pillar" pagoda of Wat Trasor Muoy Roy and visit also Wat Vihear Kork. In the afternoon, sighseeing in Stueng Treng. Stung Treng is located 50 km south of Laos, on the banks of the San River, just off the Mekong.  It is a very quiet provincial city, showing the authentic and remote "face" of Cambodia. Visit the small village of Thala Barivat on the other Mekong River side, crossing the river by speedboat. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 6: Stung Treng - Ratanakiri (Banlung) (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning depart from Stung Treng to Banlung, capital of Ratanakiri, nicknamed "The Red City". Arrive and transfer to check in at Lodge. In the afternoon, drive on a bumpy road to discover the surrounding waterfalls. Teuk Cha Ong by 4WD. A short drive will bring you to the volcanic lake of Yeak Laom, a picturesque place surrounded by pristine rainforest.  You can enjoy swimming in or walking around the lake and visit the small show room of hand made by minorities' peoples.  Overnight stay at Lodge.

Day 7: Banlung - Minorities village (B) by 4WD
Breakfast at the lodge. In the morning depart to northwest of town and cross bamboo forests before reaching the village of Voeune Sai located on the left bank of the Se San river. Enjoy the stunning view of the Chinese village on the other side of the river. This place could be regarded as Chinese enclave in Cambodian territory as most of the villagers who are there since the thirties don't even speak Khmer. Upstream of the Se San are a certain number of Tampoun villages that practice funeral statuary. If weather conditions permit, take a scenic boat trip to the village of Ka Choan and visit its superb totems. Alternatively this marvelous place can be reached by 4WD. Overnight stay at Lodge.

Day 8: Banlung - Kroeung Minorities village (B) by 4WD
Breakfast at the lodge. In the morning, drive north, heading towards Laos and the village of Taveng. After crossing Veyrum Plang, a round lava field surrounded by forest, visit a small waterfall (in the rainy season only) which is enclosed by tiger caves. After that, stop at beautiful local Kroeung villages located in the forest on both sides of the road. The more north you drive, the more beautiful the forest becomes. In some Kroeung villages, depending on the season, you might be able to discover some very impressive bachelor houses built on high stilts. Depending on the time and the state of the dirt road, a location will be chosen for a picnic before exploring the nearby villages. You can also enjoy with option of elephant riding to experience the real life forest journey (will be at your own amount on spot). Back to town. Overnight stay at Lodge.

Day 9: Banlung - Steung Treng - Kratie - Kampong Cham (B)
Breakfast at the lodge. Drive back from Ratanakiri to Kratie then continue to Kampong Cham. In the afternoon, Arrive at Kampong Cham, then short tour of Kompong Cham to view examples of French colonial architecture. Then visit Han Chey Mountain for Mekong river view. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10: Kampong Cham - Kampong Thom (B)
Breakfast at local restaurant. Start to visit Wat Nokhor temple (12th century) before drive to Kampong Thom Province. On the way take short break at Skun, the spider grill market. Continue drive to Kampong Thom, arrive and transfer to hotel for check in. In the afternoon, drive to visit Sombo Prei Kuk temple group including of Sombo Prei kuk temple, Prasat Tor temple and surrounding temple. The lost temple of Chenla region. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11: Kampong Thom - Siem Reap - Rolous group (B)
Breakfast at local restaurant. Drive to Siem Reap, Arrive and transfer to hotel for check in. Afternoon, Arrive Siem Reap, and then visit the Roluos Group, which served as the capital of Indravarman I (reigned 877-89), including of Bakong , Preah Koh and Lolei temple who built on an islet in the center of a large reservoir (now rice fields) by Yasovarman I, the founder to the first city at Angkor. Overnights stay at hotel.

Day 12: Siem Reap - Angkor Wat temple - Bayon complex (B)
Breakfast at hotel. In this morning, visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom complex, the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century), Bayon Temple with 54 towers decorated with smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. In the afternoon it is a very good time to visit the famous temple in the world, the world heritage site, Angkor Wat temple with thousands of Apsara statues caved on the wall. Enjoy till late evening to watch sunset at Phnom Bakheng Mountain. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 13: Siem Reap - Banteay Srei - Grand circuit (B)
Early get up and transfer to Angkor Wat temple for watching sun rise. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Morning, transfer to Banteay Srei temple located about 32 Km north of the town, regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. After that back to visit the Srah Srang reservoir, Banteay Kdei temple and continue to Ta Prohm, one of the area's most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. In the afternoon, you continue your temple visits to Preah Khan. Built by the King Jayavarman VII. Then continue to Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool (representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake), then Ta Som temple, and Pre Rup temple till sunset. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 14: Siem Reap - Departure (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap.  Visit the village and take an excursion in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake, the "Great Lake" of Cambodia, one of the wonders of Asia. In the afternoon, visit to "Les Artisans d'Angkor - Chantiers Ecoles" and time at leisure at a local market (if time permits). Transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for departure flight to the next destination.
